                               THE NORMANDY ARNHEM SOCIETY IS FOR YOU 

• Membership:  Although made up mainly of serving and former servicemen, our society is open to all.

• Location:  Based in Northen England, the majority of our activities remain in that region.

• Enthusiasm:  Our main requirement for membership is enthusiasm and passion for what we do and the way we do it.

• Age Limits:  17-45 (for accuracy in our portrayals) but we will consider all ages.

• Portrayal:  You can portray both nationalities, kit is expensive and can be built up over time. There is a minimum requirement for equipment and the unit will do whatever possible to help you with procurement.

• Kit:  Kit is authentic and can be expensive; we only use the best!

• Subscription:  Annual subscription is £120, paid monthly ie. £10 pcm, this pays running costs for the unit, with a £5 contribution at events to cover rations.

• Season:  February to November.

• Rations:  Authentic 1944 style; 3 meals a day. (plus beer - not on the ration!!) 

• Accommodation:  During training weekends we are accommodated in our WW2 barracks, and during operational (display) weekends under canvas.
